Although you are one of many, many brides that enter the shop they still make you feel like you are the only one they know getting married. During all of my visits to the shop I never once seen another bride trying on a dress. I think this is a lovely touch because again makes you feel special and you really have quality time with the girls in the shop as you have their full attention.

I came just a couple of weeks after getting engaged because I was so excited to start trying on dresses. I had a rough idea of what I was looking for but I was happy to look at other options knowing that what I originally was looking for might not suit me when it’s on.

I always knew that I wanted more of a fitted dress with a long train and buttons down the back! I tried on lots like this but also other styles to rule them out. However when I put on my Stella York gown, I knew it had everything that I had ever wanted in a dress.

I had an absolute disaster with my dress prior to visiting Sophia Grace. I purchased a dress at another shop in the September, went back to try in on in the February and did not like it at all… A few days later I contacted Naydene and made an appointment.

The gown I wore for most of my day was the Demetrios Style 778. It was ivory, off the shoulder with a sweetheart neckline. It had beaded lace that extended out to an a-line skirt, with romantic lace detailing. My evening gown was a Paloma Blanca.

Admittedly, my gown wasn’t what I had envisaged when I first began looking. However, having seen the dress on Sophia Grace’s Instagram I was immediately drawn to it.

As soon as I walked in I was struck by how large and elegant the boutique itself was and how stylish and ‘on trend’ the wedding dresses they stocked were (I found it hard to narrow down the ones I wanted to try on).

My dress was by the designer Eliza Jane Howell. It was a fully beaded long sleeved gown in a vintage style…

The staff at Sophia Grace Couture were wonderful from start to finish. When I first went to try on dresses the let me choose as many as I wanted and encouraged me to try all different styles…
