From the moment Sophia Grace Couture was launched Hayley Paige designs I hoped, would one day be a collection that I would bring to the boutique.
Five years ago Hayley Paige lost control of her name and brand to her former employer due to a non compete clause. After this devastating loss and a complex legal battle Miss Hayley Paige is back and creating fairy-tales once again.
When we heard that Hayley Paige was about to launch dream dresses we immediately reached out.
Fast forward six months and we were on the train heading to Fawsley Hall in Northampton to meet the queen of bridal herself.
As we listened to Hayley announce the new collection Twice Upon a Time we immediately fell in love and admiration for this incredible woman who has taken a stance and stood up for her rights. As women we can all resonate in some way.
Twice Upon a Time is designed as wearable art, inviting you to discover what feels unexpected yet wholly yours: unapologetic yet precise, intuitive yet intentional.
These gowns offer more than a design - they are poetry with a backbone. They move with you, honour who you’ve been, who you are now and make space for who you’re becoming.
Hayley talked about couture bridal sizing, which does run small. As bridal stylists we don’t like telling brides, that they are measuring one or two, and sometimes more than their high street dress size. Instead of giving brides a size Hayley cleverly has named her sizes after flowers, from Lily of the Valley, Rose and Poppy to name just a few. We love this.
Hayley Paige gowns are known for having layers which move with her bride creating that romantic flow. The Twice Upon a Time collection still has that Hayley Paige trademark which is fun, joyous and a celebration of life.
We adored each and every gown that featured on the catwalk, the colours, 3D florals, fabrics and the fun and joy that each gown brought. As we looked around the room the smiles from bridal buyers said it all, they loved the collection just as much as we did.
Trunk Show
We have a long five months to wait until our dream dresses arrive however we are excited to announce that Sophia Grace Couture brides to be have a window of opportunity to try a select number of gowns from the collection!
